Stainless Steel Stepless Oetiker clamps are used in just about every industry. You will find Oetiker clamps in automotive, boating and motorcycle fuel systems as well as draft kegerator systems and fountain drink systems. Look under your Harley-Davidson gas tank and you'll find Oetiker. You'll also find them in your Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki fuel system. OMC and Honda Marine engine fuel systems are all put together with Oetiker clamps. Oetiker produces a range of ear clamps, not just the stainless steel stepless ear clamps we sell. They also produce a lower cost stepped & stepless clamps that are zinc plated instead of stainless. Of the broad range of products they produce, we believe the stepless stainless steel design is the best and for something as low cost as clamps, why compromise? |
Oetiker Radial Compression is 360 degrees with no steps or gaps on the inner circumference. The ear design provides spring action during vibration and thermocycling conditions.
Chromium-nickel stainless steel has a high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance in both aqueous and atmospheric environments.
Oetiker Stepless Ear Clamps are made of UNS S30400 or DIN 1.4301 stainless steel.
Oetiker clamps are easy to install. Just slip over the hose and crimp the step with a Oetiker tool, nail nippers or medium size wire cutters. To remove you just pull the overlapping tab loose and unwrap the clamp from the hose or tubing. |

Always use the OD (Outside Diameter) of your hose when sizing Oetiker clamps. Also, you must account for hose stretch if pushing the hose over a barb fitting.
For example: You may have a 3/16" ID hose with a 9/16" (0.5625") OD. In this case, you could use a 14.5-706R or 15.7-706R clamp because either one will clamp down to 0.5625", but you may find that the 14.5-706R clamp will not slide over the hose once it's pushed onto a barb fitting. In this case, you would use a 15.7-706R Oetiker clamp. |
