Beer Line Cleaning Kit
This cleaning kit comes complete with:
Detailed instructions
Plastic tank to mix and dispense cleaner
K-5 Powdered beer sanitizer - mixes with water to make more than enough cleaner
for 10 or more cleaning cycles
cleaning brush
Faucet wrench
To clean, you:
Turn off the CO2
Disconnect the keg coupler (keg tap) from the keg
Unscrew the beer line from the keg coupler
Use the included brush to clean the keg coupler
Hang end of the beer line over the edge of a bucket
Disconnect the faucet
Disassemble and use the included brush to clean the faucet
Mix 1 quart of cleaning solution inside the plastic bottle
Attach the lid, attach the adapter fitting to the front of the beer shank
Squeeze the bottle to pressurize the tank & drive the cleaner through the
beer line
Let sit for about 5 minutes
Detach & do the same with the other beer lines
Repeat the process with clear water
Note: If you are fighting a known infection (sour
beer), do not reattach the keg coupler to your current keg of beer. An infection
would have infected the keg itself and re-tapping the keg will just re-infect
the rest of the kegerator! You should empty the keg & then clean the beer
line.
