Keg chargers are great for carrying one of your kegs out on the boat, your
local homebrew club or for any other weekend event.
This kit comes complete with:
1 - Genuine Innovations Keg Charger with one 16 gram CO2
cartridge
1 - Pin-lock Gas disconnect (ball lock shown)
1 - Complete pin-lock Corny keg beer faucet (ball lock shown)
2 - 6 packs of 16 gram refill cartridges (13 total with the
one incl. with charger)
These chargers are easy to use. You just thread the disconnect into the end
of the charger and connect it to your keg just like you would connect your
regular CO2 line. Then you squeeze the trigger to charge your keg for dispensing
& squeeze again as your keg empties!
You can dispense a 5 gallon keg of homebrew with only one 16 gram CO2
cartridge, providing you follow these recommendations:
1. Initially leave the Keg Charger disconnected when you first tap the
keg.
2. Attach the Keg Charger to the keg only after the beer has started to slow
down.
3. Add CO2 to the keg in short bursts and only add CO2 when the beer has
slowed down.
4. Keep your friends hands off the Keg Charger (you may need to keep the Keg
Charger in your pocket & only pull it out for charging the keg) - guests
love to squeeze the trigger and if you let them, you will be using 3 - 4
cartridges per keg!
Note: Do not use the CO2 cartridges sold at Wal-Mart
and other stores for BB and paint ball guns. These cartridges contain a small
amount of lubricating oil that will contaminate your beer!
